HALLOWEEN.
No doubt. If anyone even reads these blogs, you'll learn that I am a HUGE horror fan, and love costumes. So the holiday that devotes itself to horror and dressing up, I'm thumbs up for.
My favorite part about this holiday is probably the haunted houses. And I'm not talking about the lame ones. I'm talking about the Haunted Catacombs, and Fright World.
I love seeing scary movies, and they seem to come in the masses during Halloween. This year I saw a few, and I personally thought it was AWESOME~ I also REALLY like candy. Like....a lot.
So getting an insane amount of sugar just tops the whole thing off!
I remember when my mom used to make Jake and my costume all from scratch every single year. It was so fun to just tell her what I wanted, and seeing what she did with it. She was really good at knowing exactly what to do with the costume to make cool effects. It was awesome.
She was also really good at doing my make up and hair.
Now, I'm learning to do it all on my own. And so far...I'm not doing so hot. But I'm still learning, and I'm getting it all at a steady pace.....I think. I hope.
There's plenty of other talents that incorporate themselves into making a costume. In the 2009 year, I was a whale for Halloween. I didn't sew anything. Y'know what I did? I bent chicken wire into a whale shape, and paper mache'ed the whole thing, and spay painted it all. It took a little time, but it was super easy.
Halloween's always fun for me. ALWAYS. And every year, I clean out my candy bag in less then a week. It's just that good for me. DELICIOUS~
I even steal a bunch from my brother Jake.
