For Thanksgiving, half of my family dresses up as Native Americans, while the other half dresses up as pilgrims. My twin, Jake, even dressed up as a turkey one year.
Our customs are the same, we watch the parade, we join our family, we eat a huge meal, and we talk and mingle. Nothing's really different besides the dressing up part.
The parade isn't always a 'custom' seeing as we don't ALWAYS watch it, but usually we do. I have a large amount of family members, and that means we need a big enough house to fit us all, so depending on who's willing to host the party, and has room for it means who's house were spending Thanksgiving at. And also the fact that I have planty of family members in other states, like Virginia, Texas, Washington, New Jersey and more, it varies every year on who is there because sometimes they can't always make it.
Usually family members that visit either see us at Thanksgiving, or Christmas, and the choice differs with every different family member. So somtimes a family mamber from Virginia will see us Thanksgiving, while the one from Texas sees us Christmas, but the next year they both show up at Christmas. It's always different.
And everyone always comes to New York to celebrate the holidays because most of the family lives here.
Whoever hosts the Thanksgiving party makes the turkey, and other members just collaborate and make the side dishes. Although, my cousin Becky always makes the deserts, because she is a baking expert. She even made her own wedding cake.
